Welcome to

Servicing families and children in the Fairfield Community, ages 2.5-12 years, with programs designed specifically for their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.

Our 2024/2025 programs are now full - Currently accepting waitlist applications.

We’re here to make a difference in your child’s life.

Here’s a quick glance at our program offerings:

  • Our out of school care program is our biggest offering, with over 120 students enrolled. We offer before and after school care programs, with pick-up and and drop-off to class.

    Children partake in planned activities, free-time and supervised play until they are signed-out at pick-up.

    We do provide all children in the after school program with a daily nutritious snack, courtesy of Root Cellar.

    To register for before and after school care, your child must be enrolled in classes at Sir James Douglas Elementary. Offered for grades K-5.

  • This four-hour program offers children an opportunity to get comfortable in a community and classroom setting while making new peer connections and learning in a safe and nurturing environment.

    Children will participate in a daily routine that includes story time, outdoor play, exploration and child-led activities. Our educators guide children through our areas of exploration to inspire curiosity, discover new concepts and expose students to a variety of topics that enhance development.

  • This six-hour program runs concurrently with the hours of SJD Elementary and focuses on school readiness by mimicking the flow of a kindergarten classroom.

    Daily, children will participate in circle time, intentional learning activities and projects, guided by our curriculum and the unique interests of the children currently enrolled. This program is intended for children in their final year before Kindergarten.

  • SJD OSC offers full day camps in spring and summer where children engage in weekly themed activities, projects, and trips.

    Registration opens in January and April with limited slots available.
